Post-punk, distorted guitars, pogo dancing and all the charm of football from days gone by: MATERAZI FUTURE CLUB was founded by three flatmates who decided to blend electro-punk music with samples from the most famous and iconic interviews in the world of football. In their lyrics and song titles, they celebrate the ‘naive poetry’ and romanticism of the sport through its leading figures.

“Formazione Titolare” is their debut album (2022 – Woodworm), which has intrigued and thrilled many sports and music media outlets and thanks to which Materazi Future Club have played more than 50 gigs over a two-year period, including major Italian festivals such as MiAmi and Goa Boa. The album is a spectacular overhead kick – a fact recognised even by La Gazzetta dello Sport and Amazon Prime, which asked the band to provide the music for the Champions League.

In 2024, they returned with new music and new stories to tell, releasing the single "Dio Perdona Riganò" featuring Federico Russo, which served as a preview of the EP "Punkinari", leading to the band performing live on "Radio Deejay".

In 2026, a new chapter and a new narrative unfold for the Milan-based band: the Club has decided to move to the land where modern football was invented – England. The Premier League is the finest league in the world, and Materazi Future Club wanted to pay tribute to it in their own style. The singles “Ranieri” and “Balotelli” herald "The Italian Job", the band’s second album, recorded in London and produced by Jake Long (producer of the post-punk band Snapped Ankles), whose collaboration infuses the record with the sound of the UK scene, defining an aesthetic and a sonic intensity with an international flavour. Furthermore, the journey and the production of the project in England become a genuine rediscovery of the origins of the sound that has always defined them, like a return to their musical homeland which, at the same time, feels like a renewal. "The Italian Job" celebrates seven Italian icons who took on British football, winning over English stands amidst glory, mud and redemption. No technicalities: just the soul of the game through original samples and cult phrases. A romantic tribute to the pioneering spirit of those who crossed borders in the name of football.

The post-punk DNA evolves into a striking electronic sound. The real revolution lies in the collective identity: the debut of three-part harmonies, which transform fragments of lyrics and stadium chants into visceral, collective anthems.
